Lavender, rose petal, white pepper, this wine delivers a smooth, rosé-like refreshment. Foot-trod grapes, semi-carbonic maceration, and 10 months aging in vat, less than 20ppm of sulfur added at bottling.
So much of my love of Pineau d'Aunis comes from Nathalie's wines. She and her late husband Christian Chaussard started Le Briseau in 2002, after Christian was fired from his job as an instructor of oenology for basically telling students how to make natural wine (the term didn't exist then). With over two decades of hard work in her vineyards, Nathalie is one of the most important figures in rescuing Pineau d'Aunis from obscurity. Jonathan Kemp
Order before noon and get it the same day. Our daily delivery window is 3-6pm.
Brooklyn delivery is $19, or free for orders over $250.
Manhattan and Queens delivery is $25, or free for orders over $320.
For our local customers (within 0.5 miles of our shop) orders over $95 qualify for free delivery.
An adult over the age of 21 must be present to receive and sign for all deliveries (front desk attendants and doormen qualify but may be asked for ID).
For wine delivery outside of New York we ship via common carrier. Direct Press wine club shipments are free to members.
We currently do not ship wine to the following states: AL, AR, CO, DE, GA, HI, IA, KS, KY, NC, MD, MS, MT, OK, PA, SD, UT, VT, WI. As statutory laws are constantly changing, please note that this list is updated frequently, and acceptance of an order does not guarantee that we will ultimately be able to ship wine to you.
