Pinot Noir from Austria's Burgenland, where the Renner Sistas Stefanie and Susanne (along with brother Georg) are the third-generation tending the family’s farm in the village of Gols. They are certified biodynamic and use as little sulfur as possible. Crunchy and herbaceous with some silky viscosity and an ethereal, long finish. Hibiscus, rooibos tea, basil, and sage note with a sneaky note of blueberry Pop Tart. Satisfies a primal urge for unabashed deliciousness, but if you're not knocking it back with abandon you'll notice how much beauty and complexity is in the glass. Jonathan Kemp
