Les P’tites Choses 'Gaudriole' Pet Nat 2021

Pet Nat made from a 70 year-old parcel that's a field blend Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. There are so many Pet Nats out there these days, but this one really did the thing I always want it to do, some mix of refreshment and transcendence I can't really put my finger on but you know it when you see it. It's not too fruity but it's still juicy, with pear, grapefruit, and mandarin orange notes. It's pure joy and deliciousness. Zero sulfur added, only 85 cases made. Be careful: this isn't disgorged so make sure it's really cold when you open it, or make sure to open it over a bowl in case it gushes! Jonathan Kemp

Chenin Blanc (70%), Cabernet Franc (30%) from 70 years old from the same parcel in Beaulieu on mix of clay and silty-clay soils Direct press into fibreglass. Blended and bottled in the same month.
No fining, filtering or SO2 additions. 85 cases made.
Bottled September 2021. Disgorged January 2022.
