Coming from the same vineyard as the direct press Pinot Gris, this bottling goes through 6-12 days of carbonic maceration before being pressed, giving it a lovely hazy pinkish copper hue.
Aromatically, there is much more stone and tropical fruit tones. Apricot, nectarine and yellow cherry pop out for me. Fuller in the mouth as well, with soft tannins and a bit more creamy texture. Spicy and alive, the stone fruits from the nose carry through to the palate, with peachy flavors shining through. Super fun and joyful, and perfectly settled between rose and orange wine. This will be a summer crusher.
